    And ignite your bones...

    It's getting to the point
    Where I'm no fun anymore
    I am sorry
    Sometimes it hurts so badly
    I must cry out loud
    I am lonely
I am yours, you are mine
    You are what you are
    And you make it hard.

Remember what we've said and done and felt
    About each other
    Oh babe, have mercy
Don't let the past remind us of what we are not now
    I am not dreaming.
I am yours, you are mine
    You are what you are
    You make it hard.

    I hate it here.
"I urge all voters to apply this crucial test to their representatives before supporting them.

Make them commit squarely and unequivocally to these questions. Do you believe Congress should exercise its sovereign power as provided in the Constitution of the United States to create money and regulate the value thereof and control the circulating medium in the interest of the whole people? Or do you believe this sovereign power should be transferred to Banks of Issue?

Their answers will prove conclusively whether they are with the people or against them.

Or do you believe that Banking Corporations should issue a credit substitute and through it control the money and circulating medium of exchange of the people of the United States in their own interest?

Watch your presidential candidate carefully and see that he commits himself clearly on this vital question. It will be a true test of his honesty and fitness for office. Admitted ignorance on the monetary issue should not excuse him. The subject is as old as our government, and if he does not know enough about it now to answer these test questions, he is not qualified to fill the position he aspires to, and should not ask your votes."

Thomas Cushing Daniel - High Cost of Living - 1912

    4 more years?

    8 more years?

    Fuck that!

How about 100 more years of a failed policy?

How about another century of robbery?

The American public's capacity for stupid is infinite.

    I hate it here.

"The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; the second is war. Both bring a temporary prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunists." -- Ernest Hemingway, 1932

    Presidential Jukebox

Neither candidate has a single Beatles song on their top 5 songs list.

I probably will not vote this year.

    Key West
The singer song writer fest is bigger than I expected. Key West is full of people. Lots of people. Very different from the middle keys. I'll get used to it.

The B&B we are in seems nice. I like that I can wi-fi out on a porch and watch the palms sway.

MMMM. I smell cuban coffee. Time for food stuffs! Yum!

Just when I though my wife couldn't get any more beautiful, this woman came into her life and proved me wrong once again. That woman passed last night, and although I never got to know her, she has changed the course of my life for the better.

Hanging out at the Circle K...
The Dalai Lama just announced that if the violence in Tibet doesn't stop, he's going to "step down" as Tibet's leader in exile.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K...

"Far far there's this little girl
she was praying for something big to happen to her
every night she hears beautiful strange music
it's everywhere there's nowhere to hide
but if it fades she begs
"oh lord don't take it from me, don't take it"
She says, "i guess i'll have to give it birth""

March 17 1972. St. Patrick's Day. My Debut.
It's not my birthday, that's Dec 7th, another oddball "holiday".

If I am to believe the stories, today is the anniversary of my conception.

Who knows, someday we might all learn to celebrate our debut as well as our birth.

I like the idea of doing both.

    *smile*

    Happy Day everyone!

    a distraction from being distracted?

    when it no longer matters,
    who's writing who,
    when you've got writer's block,
    and the story does too,
when the next part's in tatters,
and you're out of the blue,
    when you misplaced the lock,
    just what do you do?

    "I've got the brains,
    You've got the looks.
    Let's make lots of money."

"I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen."
    Frank Lloyd Wright
